Ky-Mani has been an extremely popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the most wealthy and most popular. Shottas was an iconic film where he was in the film with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records and recorded his debut album in 1996, like Father Like Son. This was followed by numerous singles including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap was a perfect fit (remix), and Sensimelia. They all contributed to Ky-Mani's reputation as a rising reggae artist. In 1997 Ky-Mani joined forces along with Praswell (Fugees) on Avenue a hit cover version that was a cover of the song by Eddy Grant Electric Avenue.
