Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the proceeds was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a member of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the leader of numerous fund-raising efforts for the illness and has testified in an Congressional Special Committee regarding AIDS Education. Morgan is part of the board of Governors of APLA as well as the Board of Directors of Amfar. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has requested her to substitute for him in AIDS events and she has presented an AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have made appearances on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys to be a part of Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. In the following week, she kicked off her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Also, it included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next film she was in brought Morgan to Luxembourg to be a part of Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also appeared in a psychological suspense drama that was exclusively produced for USA Network. This thriller received the highest reviews of all time for that network.
